Easter Dinner and Other Such Dilemmas...

Easter is coming right up... and Baby will need something sweet to wear for Easter dinner... now I know that usually means a cute little button-down shirt and maybe a tie, or for little girls it is something lacy and floral to wear to church... and that is all fine and good... but think about your children at dinner time (or even during snack time during Children's Church) - Easter dinner is a big thing, pictures are taken, and kids get messy... so an Easter Bib is just the thing to solve the issue - Baby can be messy and cute at the same time! This one comes with a matching burpie, or you can get just a bib... and either one works for Baby Boys or Baby Girls...

It's Been a While... But I'm Back!

Where did the time go? How did I let my blog lag for so long? I guess life happened... Valentine's Day came and went (I got some lovely flowers and bangles from my husband... Thank you, Dear), then I had a weekend at home with my kids since Daddy was out of town, and this week I've been home with a sick baby... Rowley has pneumonia! So, I guess I have been busy... but even with all of my excuses, I will try to be better about blogging!
Well, with that out of the way, I can really begin... I wanted to feature something for Valentine's Day... too late! So I will go with a little something red, just for fun... Plus, I love the way Rowley posed with this bib... I think he likes how soft it is, since it reverses to a yummy soft fabric...

So I had to make the matching RowleyPocket - the burpie that comes with it has that same soft fabric that I love... It's the perfect Diaper Bag Organizer, as it is just the right size for a few diapers, a packet of wipes, and the matching changing pad/burpie... I found this fabric at our local quilt shop, and I just love it...

I keep going to this shop and lurking... 4thAveSoapCo ...
I just think everything in this shop looks so yummy! Take a quick peek at this foot scrub: I want it! (Also, when I've "talked" to 4thAveSoapCo in the Etsy Fora, she has been exceedingly nice, which always makes purchasing a lovely experience).  Also, starting at 5 pm Eastern time, everything in her shop is 10% off! (Saturday only)...

Bananas & Pears are Yummy!

Maybe I'm in the mood for a fruity cocktail... hmmm... It's the weekend, so why not? Get one for yourself while you're at it, please...

Now, while you are sipping, you can do a little browsing, and perhaps even some shopping... I wanted to share these positively yummy burpies! They are nice and bright - and for those of us with gray skies and snow, this is just what the doctor ordered! If you decide to order them from my shop, just mention the word "bananas" in your notes to seller, and I'll take 10% off of your entire order!

Next, please do take note of the wonderful world of Ficklefaerie! Her Bartlett & Basil soy candle has to be one of my most favorite candles I've ever smelled. I am so sad that I burned it to the end just this week! But mmmmm... it was good while it lasted. If you are looking for a lovely home or kitchen scent, you have to try this one. Well worth it! And, she's a really sweet seller, so that helps, too. :)

You've Met the Walking Baby... How About His Older Brother, Sam?

So, Rowley has inspired my shop name and has been a great model for many of my bibs, as well as for my hang tags... but his older brother, Sam, has been a big help with the projects (sometimes)...he likes to help cut scraps of fabric, and sometimes tries to curl up (and fell asleep one time!) in my pile of soft, cozy fabrics. His latest project was just too sweet... He saw me making this brown and pink rainbow blanket, got out his crayons and paper, and drew and colored the blanket - I think it is just perfect!

In other news... I just got this in the mail today:
The ZadyBall
Rowley loves it, and he loves the little bonus miniZadyBall that came with it! What a great baby toy...
It's super cute and super fun...

After purchasing all of your baby needs from my shop, be sure to go to ZadyBall's shop and grab one of these...

Meet Rowley, the Walking Baby!

Since he's over 14 months old, we were starting to wonder... but he's finally doing it! He decided to walk on SuperBowl Sunday... and went from never having taken a step to taking 9 steps in a row (not to get to mom, however - to get to the dog dish)! Here he is modeling a (girl's!) lemon bib on the day he took his first steps...
So, now that he's reached that wonderful milestone,
which is super-exciting, we're wondering what else he'll start doing! Will he start eating politely at the dinner table?
As soon as he does, I want a set of bowls like this one
from AmyEsther... how beautiful and practical for the entire family... I'd like a whole set please!

However, I am not convinced that the good table manners are going to appear in the near future, so maybe I should be happy that I can commemorate his big day with one of these photo necklaces from AnnieHowes. Wouldn't this lemon bib photo look darling in one of these necklaces...

I would always remember the day he started walking...  I could keep the memory close and make a fashion statement at the same time... what fun! I think Grandma might even think it was a good idea...

For a great deal on the lemon bib, (or any other bibs) mention this blog in the notes to seller in my etsy shop, and receive a 10% discount!

Birthday Bibs are my latest fun idea that I've added to my etsy shop - they make 1st and 2nd birthday photos so much more festive and fun! Add that handmade touch to your little one's next party...
I also think that these darling cards from LoloandSprout would be the perfect addition to this Birthday Themed Gift...

And why not a little pretend Cake from TheHookery? It will keep that bib looking fresh and clean in your photos - before baby goes after the "real" cake!
A Happy Handmade Birthday For Baby!

My First Day "On the Blog"

Alright folks... this is my first attempt at any sort of blog... so have patience.
I'd like to use this blog to feature my etsy shop, as well as other etsy artists.
I'd also like to share my Italian adventures when I have them... you can visit our Italian home base at www.QuietItaly.com

So, here goes!

A little thanks to MoTowne: first (albeit silly) post after my call for help in making this blog.
I liked this item from his shop...
